Wilcox - Lura Paxton

Mrs. Lura B. Wilcox, 74, Montgomery County native, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Mrs. Wilcox, a resident of Rt. 7, Lafayette, had been hospitalized for less than a day. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Survivors include two sons, Harold of Rt. 5, Crawfordsville, and Floyd of Rt. 7, Lafayette; a brother, Everet Paxton of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the old Christian Church at Linden. Her husband, John Wilcox, died in April of 1950. The couple were married in Linden. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dickerson Funeral Home at Stockwell with Rev. Willard Eckroth in charge. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Linden Cemetery. - jlr
